Automatic Watch Care
Power reserve, magnetism, storage and daily handling for Arvell automatic references.
Power reserve
| References | Calibre | Reserve when fully wound |
|---|---|---|
| Regent Automatic | Ronda R150 | 40 h |
| Mineral | Miyota 8215 | ~42 h |
A watch worn daily stays wound. Off the wrist, both calibres run out within about two days - restart with ~20 crown turns clockwise.
Magnetism
Phone speakers, laptop lids and bag clasps carry magnets strong enough to magnetise a conventional hairspring - the classic symptom is sudden fast running (minutes per day). Keep distance and have a watchmaker demagnetise if accuracy jumps (a 2-minute fix).
Storage
No winder needed for any Arvell reference (note: the Miyota 8215 does not hand-wind - restart it with a few wrist shakes) - date resetting after a stop takes seconds. Store dry, away from magnets. Long storage: run it every few months so the oils move.
